Corrections Policy

PeriodTracker values accuracy above all else. If you notice a factual error, scientific inconsistency, or spelling mistake in our content, please let us know so we can investigate and update the resource.

How We Handle Corrections

When a potential error is flagged in a published guide:

  • Verification: Our editorial team cross-references the flagged claim with primary sources (WHO, ACOG, etc.).
  • Medical Advisory Check: If the claim is biological or therapeutic, a medical advisor reviews the correction.
  • Updates: If the claim is validated as incorrect or outdated, the article is updated.
  • Transparency: Significant corrections (such as dosage corrections or diagnosis criteria) will include a note at the bottom of the article highlighting what was revised.

Minor vs. Major Corrections

We distinguish between:

Minor Corrections

Typos, formatting issues, or minor grammar modifications that do not change the clinical substance. These are updated without public notices on the page.

Major Corrections

Factual errors in statistics, guidelines, drug interactions, or diagnostic recommendations. These require advisory sign-off and a visible change log.
