In natural family planning, 'safe days' refer to the days in your cycle with the lowest probability of conception — generally the days before your fertile window opens and the days after ovulation. However, no day is completely risk-free due to natural cycle variability.
How is the safe days calculator calculated?
The calculator uses the calendar (rhythm) method: Fertile window start = shortest cycle length – 18; Fertile window end = longest cycle length – 11. Days outside this window are considered 'relatively safer.' Requires at least 6–12 months of cycle history for reasonable accuracy.
