Period Calendar FAQs
What is a period calendar?
A period calendar is a visual tool that displays your menstrual cycle dates on a calendar view — showing past period days, predicted future period days, ovulation dates, and fertile window. It makes it easy to see your cycle patterns at a glance.
How does the online period calendar work?
You log your period start and end dates in PeriodTracker. The app then marks those dates on your calendar, predicts future period and ovulation dates based on your cycle history, and highlights your fertile window — all in a visual, color-coded calendar.
Can I see multiple months on the period calendar?
Yes. PeriodTracker's calendar view shows your complete cycle history and predictions across multiple months, so you can plan ahead for upcoming periods, events, and fertile windows.
What do the different calendar colors mean?
Period calendar colors typically indicate: red/pink for period days, purple/teal for predicted period days, green for fertile window days, and gold/yellow for ovulation day. PeriodTracker uses a color-coded system to make all cycle phases instantly recognizable.
How accurate are the period calendar predictions?
Period calendar predictions become more accurate the more cycles you track. After 3 cycles, predictions are typically accurate within 2–3 days. After 6+ months, the calendar reflects your personal cycle pattern rather than a generic 28-day average.
